Our Skunk Removal Process

To trap and remove skunks, we make use of one and two-door baited live-traps. Skunks are omnivorous and will be attracted by simple bait, like peanut butter. However, if there are small domesticated dogs or cats in the area that could accidentally be trapped, we will often use dried or fresh fruit to attract the skunk. 

For skunks, we may also cover the traps with dark cloth or felt to keep the nocturnal animal calm while it is trapped and removed from your property. This helps reduce the risk of the skunk releasing its spray while trapped.

Skunk-Proofing Your Property

If a skunk has burrowed underneath your home, deck, or porch, we will often use a one-way swinging gate to ensure that the skunk cannot reenter your home once it has left to find food. Once we have confirmed that the skunk has been removed from your home, we will seal the burrow entrance to animal-proof your property. 

Humane Skunk Removal
